In a town near you

We’re pleased to say we have now identified 32 providers of group sessions who we are currently in the process of contracting with.  These successful organisations will shortly be running face-to-face sessions in areas across England and are really keen to get going (in fact one already has!)

Each organisation went through a thorough procurement process during which they demonstrated their ability to run Caring with Confidence sessions and reach carers, particularly those not already in contact with any support.

We were thrilled by the level of response we received from organisations wishing to get involved with delivering the programme and would like to thank everyone for their interest and support in this process.

Full details on the successful providers can be found on our website.

Spreading the word about support for carers

We’re keen to be able to signpost carers to further appropriate sources of information, advice and support so you may have noticed our new ‘links page’ on the website.

If you are from an organisation that helps or supports carers in some way and would like us to consider including a brief explanation of who you are and your contact details, please send an email with the subject heading ‘Website Link’ and the following information to marketing@caringwithconfidence.net.

  • Organisation name
  • Brief description of service you provide to carers including whether you’re a local or national organisation (75-125 words)
  • Website address
  • Telephone number (that carers can contact you on)

Similarly, if you are able to spread the news about Caring with Confidence through your website, newsletter or magazine, please contact Diane Roskell on 0113 385 4486 or email diane.roskell@caringwithconfidence.net who can provide further information on the programme.

'At home' with Caring with Confidence

Carers are now able to access Caring with Confidence self-study workbooks and a first release of the online sessions.

This is a great way for carers to get involved with Caring with Confidence if they haven’t got the time to go to a group session or there isn’t one running nearby.

Programme trials

With the start of the full roll out of the programme across England, we’ve come to the end of the trial delivery of face-to-face sessions in Leicester and Sunderland.

We’ve had some excellent feedback which has been both positive and constructive from over 180 carers who have been involved.

Some comments from carers include:

“Caring with Confidence has changed my life”

“It made me realise how much we can learn from other carers”

“I am in a better position to realise that when I find things difficult, that is quite normal”

“I’ve thought again about assertiveness – up to now I have been very accepting but I can see the case for being firm but fair”
